In a fun Week 6, three games went to overtime, and the city of London was able to witness some good football! Some of the top teams in the league continue to reign victorious, while other walked off the field with their heads down. How much will that outcome affect their ranking this week?
1. Tamp Bay Buccaneers (1)
The Eagles covered the spread, but the Bucs got the victory. Tampa Bay continues to prove that they have the best group of receivers in the league, as they have three players totaling over 400 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
2. Arizona Cardinals (3)
The fact that the Cards remain the only unbeaten team in the NFL is one thing, but the fact that they put a beating on a very good Browns team on Sunday convinced me to finally give them the number two slot in the power rankings. The scary thing about this Cardinals team is that despite Kyler Murray only rushing for 7 yards over the last two games combined, the Cardinals have dominated on the ground, ranking fifth in the league in rushing yards.
3. Green Bay Packers (5)
Aaron Rodgers does indeed still own the Chicago Bear, and with the help of his playmakers, he can still own the rest of the league as well. Perhaps no team relies on their playmakers more than Green Bay, as Davante Adams has been targeted a whopping 66 times through the first six games of the season.
4. Kansas City Chiefs (4)
The Kansas City defense showed signs of improvement on Sunday, albeit against a below-average offense. Patrick Mahomes was able to limit his mistakes in the second half and pull away from Washington to help this team take a step in the right direction.
5. Baltimore Ravens (6)
The Ravens certainly looked convincing on Sunday, beating up one of the hottest offenses in the league. In what has been a roller coaster ride for Baltimore so far in 2021, they have the Cincinnati Bengals coming to town next week in their first division matchup of the season.
6. Buffalo Bills (2)
Josh Allen is 6'5 and weighs nearly 240 pounds, yet he couldn't gain the half-yard necessary to continue the Bills potential game-winning drive on Monday night football. As depleting as that may be for Buffalo, the passing game in Week 6 was fairly efficient, and the Bills should still be considered top contenders in the AFC.
7. Los Angeles Rams (7)
Daniel Jones has enjoyed a nice season through five weeks, but the Rams front seven had something to say to him in Week 6. Somehow, a total of ten Rams defensive linemen logged at least one QB pressure against the Giants, with two players pressuring Jones four times. Neither of those two were Aaron Donald.
8. Dallas Cowboys (9)
Dak Prescott continues to put the league on notice, as he totaled five big-time throws on Sunday against the Patriots, and came up in the clutch in the extra period, completing all of his passes for 72 yards in overtime, including the game-winning beauty to CeeDee Lamb.
9. Los Angeles Chargers (8)
The Chargers offense was red-hot coming into Week 6, but they were forced to punt six times and failed to convert a fourth-down attempt on three occasions. The week prior against the Browns, they were able to convert a fourth-down on multiple occasions. If they continue to get a bunch of those go their way they should still feature one of the most dangerous teams in the AFC.
10. Tennessee Titans (12)
It's hard not to mention Derrick Henry when writing a short summary about the Titans. King Henry rushed for 143 yards Monday night against the Bills, 126 of which came after contact! The man broke five tackles on 20 carries. He is simply built different.
